We headed to our place about 11.30am to find Christelle sorting out the inventory. Thank god we didn't have to do that. It felt odd, having our own place again after so long on the road. And it felt massive after living in such close quarters for such a long time. It's a cool old townhouse that's walking distance in the town centre and we're just delighted to have a place to call home again. The two biggest changes from our house in Taranaki is that 1. We have an upstairs and 2. A proper garden. The house does feel like it needs a bit of TLC so we're looking forward to making it our home.
And suddenly, we were in!

No rest for me though, I was off to do our first Big Shop at Leclerc and start to make our house a home.
To be honest, when I was in Leclerc, I felt absolutely horrendous and thought I was going to collapse with pelvic pains. The last thing on my mind was cooking a fancy big meal. First meal of the house? Fish pie.
As it turned out, I had a rather nasty UTI so I ended up on antibiotics. Joyous.
Another joyful aspect of our new digs was getting to unpack, properly, for the first time in four months. Looking at this photo, its incredible that I managed to have one bag of clothes do me right through NZ, Fiji, Scotland, France, Scotland and back to France. Experienced traveller right enough.
Think we'll stay put for the next wee while though.
LM.
