For those of you not growing up in the backwaters of Prestonpans, "BOMA" stands for Best Of Mates - Always". And for those of you who have no idea where The Pans is, check it out on Google Earth but always, always be weary of venturing there. Anyway, I headed over the East Side so I could hang out with my Musselburgh Grammar BOMAs for some of the usual banter. Food and drinks on the rooftop terrace at Oloroso followed by a cheeky wee pub crawl to get up-to-date with all the Grammar gossip. Good times. :)
One night was never going to be enough with these guys so we arranged to do a bit of camping. We had originally hoped to make our annual pilgrimage to Tiree for a spot of surfing but everyone's schedule was too tight and instead we opted for a night at the Ranch. - Laura's Dad's farm in Drem just outside North Berwick!
What a laugh - John & Mary acting all smug with their pop-up tent that they had no idea how to pop-down, nearly getting dragged away by Suzie's kite and the inevitable game of Kings which saw Laura's Dad introduce some of the weirdest rules I ever heard of in a drinking game.
