I've been letting the blog slip recently due to a small trip that we've been on. There's obviously loads of chat to come from that but in the meantime I want to get you up to speed with our last few weeks in NZ. Although we'd had a big send off with Katie and Steph in Auckland, we wanted to see them one more time before they left. They wont be back in the UK until August, by which time we will have left and it was really important for us to see them again, so we jumped on a plane down to Wellington for one final weekend of nonsense with the mad couple. They were trying to tie up all their loose ends before leaving the country so life was a little sparse. Thankfully they hadn't sold their beds just yet so we did have a place to sleep - even if it was in Fawlty Towers which had been their strange home since January. It's in Island Bay so the view is amazing, but the interior leaves a little to be desired!
We enjoyed kicking around in Welly for the last time, checking out some local landmarks like Manners Mall, Sweet Mother's Kitchen, and various boozers on Courtney Place. Amazingly, despite our behaviour in the Southern Cross at Hogmanay, they let us back in where we watched some rugby and hung out with all Katie and Steph's Welly pals. We tried to stay up for the Football, but as you'll see the Noodle Canteen was calling at 4.25, then it was home to bed. Lightweights eh?
We're gonna miss these guys so much, but it will be some reunion when we finally see them again. All the best for your trip home guys.
