Teece invited me on a ladies weekend with a load of her super-sporty-outdoorsy mates. And being a super-sporty-outdoorsy type, how could I refuse?! We headed down to Rotorua to indulge in some mountain biking for the weekend and, of course, drink wine, eat food and talk and talk and talk.

It was good to get into the Great Outdoors but I've got to admit, I was pretty rank at the old mountain biking. I loved all the downhill stuff; ramps, jumps and technical kind of stuff, but I was hopeless at the uphills. Note to self - must start training again.
We stayed in top bach which Tecee had found online. I loved getting home in the afternoon, getting the wood burning stove on and cracking open a Steinlager Pure. The Great Outdoors makes you think you deserve these things! The hard-out bikers came back later in the day and we got stuck into a massive curry - awesome! They were a top bunch of girls and the chat went on and on into the night until our weary legs carried us off to bed. We've already decided that we're going to try and make this a regular thing - so I'm already looking forward to the next adventure!
