One singer, one song

And so it begins
All too soon the girls' final night was upon us. In keeping with the Horse Lips Tour form it was always going to involve some silliness. We headed into town for a couple of quiet beers while we watched the final Tri Nations rugby match between the All Blacks and the Springboks. Cue a game of rugby bingo. Which was sandwiched between some "Higher or Lower" due to such a low scoring (and therefore low drinking) game. You should never leave home without a deck of cairds.

After the game, we got ourselves out and about in Auckland, and indulged in some of the chop filled tea pots at Cassette 9 on Vulcan Lane.
We were getting in The Zone so we decided that we should continue our evening at one of the local Karaoke bars. Now, we're not exactly talking the Horseshoe in Glasgow with drunk punters getting out of the crowd to try and win a one hundred quid bar tab. This is proper Asian style Karaoke establishments with your own booth, couches and disco lights. I've actually tried to get into one particular joint on three previous occasions (one actually discussed here), but the boy on the desk obviously thought that four thirty-something girls couldn't do much harm as he actually let us in and, as they don't serve alcohol, he even said it would be okay for to bring in some beers. Oh, how he must've regretted both those decisions.
I do actually have some videos of our performances but I wont subject you to them. I think the photos tell enough stories. We ended up staying on here for the rest of the night - three hours of karaoke chaos. It was a great way to finish up the Tour: just the four of us, locked in a room where we could talk drivel and make as much noise as we wanted. A mental end to a crazy three weeks. Chop on, ladies!
