Term 4

I can't believe that its term four already. The NZ school year is pretty simple; four ten week terms, split up between two week holidays during the year and seven weeks in the summer. Unlike Scotland, they don't change too much and things like Easter don't matter (although they did adjust it this year for the Rugby World Cup!). The downside of the four x ten week terms is that you don't get mid-term breaks. In Scotland you can normally count about six weeks until your next shortened week, but here, it can be up to eleven till your next holiday. Not good. 

Anyway, we recently had a short week to look forward due to a Teacher Only Day. And once again, it just seemed like they know how to do things that wee bit better on this side of the world...

Did someone say Curriculum for Excellence? Nah, didn't think so.
