More Lockdown 2.0

Another retrospective post with the help of my weekly planner and my camera roll 😏

The lockdown continues and I've been quietly and industriously getting through my days on my jack jones. If you look at the photos, you'll see this has meant lots of food experimenting and adventures; sorting out baby things to sell and give away and trying to keep my fitness up with three (yes, THREE!) runs and a couple of walks in the very changeable autumnal Pau weather. Getting out to do something each day has been so important otherwise I'm just in the house all day, on my own. At least I've still got William home every lunchtime to break up the day. The school are still dragging their heels over him attending the canteen and it's breaking me. Oh, and we finally completed the universe jigsaw. It's only taken us since the summer!

Inspired by Hayley, I finally had a go at making the duck legs that you often see in the supermarkets here. My God, it's so easy! A brasserie dinner in a tin. And washed down with a large malbec, you really can't go wrong.

Like I said above, the weather's been incredibly changeable. I enjoyed a very eerie cobwebber walk on Friday morning and when we all went for a run on Saturday morning, it was utterly glorious. As the old song goes, what a difference a day makes...

The good weather continued all weekend. I'll never tire of this view from the boulevard:

Lorna :-)
