Legs Machine & San Sebastian

Last weekend was the time of Legs' annual trip to SW France. This year we decided to take it up a notch with a roadie to San Sebastian. When we had originally planned it all, I didn't have a job so I didn't feel like I was trying to shoehorn anything in but in reality it was a bit of a mad weekend, on top of an even madder first week in my new job.

We drove down on Thursday evening in beautiful sunshine and over the course of the next two days, we shopped, ate, drank and talked and talked and talked. And as the clouds rolled in, we poured more wine and blethered on some more. Oh how seeing your old mates is good for the soul. (Not, perhaps, good for the physical health though - I came home with a barking cough and no voice!)

We got back to Pau late on Saturday afternoon to find William and Iain had set up the house as a hotel with a reception desk and "card" to get into our rooms. William was absolutely loving it! Then we were all more than happy to settle onto the couch for the opening night of Strictly.

On Sunday we all managed to get out for a wee bike ride and I took the gang up to the University campus for a look around:

It was really brilliant to have Legs over for a few days but as we partied company at Lourdes airport on Monday evening, we agreed that we need to lock in another spring in London come March '23. It's good to have this routine in the bag now! So, until next time....

Lorna.
