It's all about the trips!

Ms Susy Watson, of MGS fame always maintained that teaching was, "All about the trips". I have taken this mantra on board and have been looking for as many opportunities as possible since starting at AJHS. Unfortunately one of the coaches of the 1st XI football team had to pull out of the tour at the last minute and although they could cope during the matches, they really needed extra supervision at the end of the week when they were taking the boys snowboarding. Step up, Miss McAvoy!

So, the school paid for my hire car and I went to meet them in Rotarua. We then travelled on down to Taupo and stayed in a cracking Motor Lodge:

On Thursday we headed down to Mt Ruapehu (where I'd been in July with Iain, Katie, Steph, Clare etc) but this time went to the ski field at Whakapapa. To be honest, the weather was pretty rubbish but it was great getting back up out on the snow before the end of the season. Cheers for letting me come along, Alex!
