Marion, my old volleyball team-mate from Jets has been travelling round Australia with her friend, Quique and Auckland was their first port of call in the land of the long white cloud. It was great catching up with Marion, and hearing all the gossip from Jets, not to mention all her stories from her travels so far. It was great meeting Quique for the first time too. I really felt as though they put me to shame as we all blethered away in english (Marion is Austrian; Quique, Spanish) and we tried to teach them a bit of what we'd learned about NZ so sar and also a wee bit of Scottish culture although I'm not so sure Quique enjoyed the Irn-Bru that Iain persuaded him to drink! They've headed south now in their small but perfectly formed campervan, and I'm sure they have a blast - keep in touch guys. :-) Lorna.
