The New Gaff

Have we really been here for six months? Yes! Because our lease at the Jungle House is finally up and we've already moved on... Searching for a new place was a bit of a mission as the majority of rentals in NZ are completely unfurnished (no white goods either) so we were struggling to find something. We decided to bite the bullet and go for a completely unfurnished place, hoping and praying that we'd be able to sort ourselves out with the basics via 'Trade Me' and our generous friends. I found a cracking place right in the heart of Takapuna. A wee bit further away from the beach (about 6 or 7 mins walk) but much closer to the bars, cafes and restaurants. :-) These are some shots from the night we moved in. We've got a big deck on the front which gets the sun all day - perfect for the summer coming in! You go along the deck at the front and round the side of the house to get in the 'front' door... The layout is pretty cool. We've got a big open plan living/dining/kitchen area, two bedrooms and what we like to call the 'Thinking Room", which we can use as an office or another bedroom. Master Bedroom: Second Bedroom (looks out onto front/deck) Bathroom - No yellow in sight. and the open plan living area (kitchen has the patio doors which open back onto deck) the "Thinking Room" as named by Kai'a Lene... View from Living Room window It's brilliant! If you're looking for our new address, drop me an email and I'll pass it on. Cheers, Lorna. :)
