Mrs. Culfeathers & Friends

Our house was bare, so Iain got on Trade Me and sourced a fridge/freezer at a decent price. This let us to a Serbian man's back garden in Northcote where we also met Mrs. Culfeather's our old but hardworking top loading washing machine. Got the pair for a bargian price. Iain's just said it was like the bit in Star Wars when Uncle Owen goes out to buy the droids from the Jawas. Two loads in and Mrs Culfeathers blew a gasket. Our Serbian friend looked offended that she'd broken down, and had her up and running in a hour. It's some country - no one buys new and they're ready to fix anything. We've not had a power bill in yet though and we're pretty sure they're not eco-friendly. Could be back to the Steamie for Mrs. C. By the way, thanks to everyone who has helped us get on our feet in the new house, particularly my brother's mate, George, who has pretty much kitted out the whole place, right down to a bbq. Top lad. Our laundry room, AKA The Steamie, with Mrs. Culfeathers: Iain and George doin the flittin' And the house starting to take shape...
