Renee who I work with also got engaged during the summer hols to her "rugby, racing and beer" loving sailor boyfriend Jabba. It was their engagement party a couple of weeks ago, held at Renee's parents' place up the coast in Torbay. It was a great night - loads of their friends and family were there and Linda and Paul (no, not the McCartneys - the Hebdens!) did a great job in making us all feel welcome and ensuring we were all fed and watered. They even did a lamb on a spit roast!
As we've only been in the country for about a year now, we haven't known these guys for a huge amount of time, but it doesn't feel like it. A huge thanks to Paul who, during his speech about Renee and Jabba very kindly announced that theirs wasn't the only recent engagement and made a toast to Iain and I too. Cheers!

The night lasted into the wee small hours and ended up rather messy with some dancing to the genius of Cliff. (This is Renee singing along!)
Big congrats, Ronnie & Jab - canny wait till the wedding!!
