When Iain and I left for NZ fourteen months ago, ELC very kindly agreed to hold my job open. As things are going so well for us, I've been trying to get them to hold it open for a bit longer but they couldn't be persuaded. This meant either returning to Musselburgh Grammar for August or resigning and staying out here. It might not sound like a hard decision but when you know how bleak it looks for out-of-work PE teachers back home it does makes you reluctant to jack it in. And of course the fact that MGS is such a top joint! Anyway, the rumours have been circulating for a while but just to let you know that it's true, I have resigned from Mussey. I'm sad but I know its the right choice. Can't wait to come home in June though for some official leaving drinks!
