Right, so Julie and Paul's farm is actually a Dairy Farm meaning they don't need a brand new combine harvester but this just shows how out of place the Ginge and I were "down on the farm"! It was class though - Julie and Paul showed us the whole place and tried to help us understand the workings of dairy farming. This is a reasonably difficult task when you're dealing with two townies from Glasgow. Here are some photos to give you an idea of how immersed yet out of place we were!!!
Here's a new born in the paddock with its Mum, before getting transferred to one of the sheds.
They're known as Bobby Calves...
...as they are waiting on the "Bobby Truck" which will take them off to become veal.
I'm sad to admit it but we're both a bit old for the Bobby Truck.
Their farm is state-of-the-art and we were amazed at how much of the process is computerised. Here's the cows in for milking:
and what could be better for a cat than living on a Dairy Farm?!
...before heading out to the paddock again to tag some new borns...
At this point we are completely surrounded by cows and I'm slightly terrified
(actually rather reminiscent of the 62B to Baillieston)
but I found a friendly old heffer in the herd!
Iain was more at home with all the pets Paul and Julie have and made a friend for life with their apparent wild cat known at Cat. Iain has the blue jumper on.
Looking west with the bottom tip of the southern alps in the distance.
We survived, and it was brilliant. Thanks for having us guys!
LM. :)

Loving the snaps guys! So many jokes, so little time! I laughed out loud uncontrollably at the 62B to Ballieston comment and was glad to see you and iain made lots of friends with the animals. All that's left to say is that I bet neither of you eat veal in a while huh? And, and nice suction pumps! Xx
Cheers doll! Glad you're enjoying the updates. They were cute but still couldn't imagine turning vege.
Yeap, I thought the same thnig as Legs! You pair fit in quite well - I'm amazed. NZ has clearly done something to you both. Be careful. You don't know where this might lead...
