Shine On You Crazy Diamond!
As some of you may know, Iain and I got engaged last year. It's taken us a while (erm, about seven years..), and in the spirit of our relationship, its also taken us a while to do the traditional thing and get The Diamond, but good things come to those who wait and we finally picked our creation up today. Sadly, I don't have a super duper SLR camera to capture the truly brilliant sparkle but hopefully the shots I've taken with our stunt camera will give you an idea of how cool it is.
We were both really keen to have a bit of New Zealand in it so we decided to go for something incorporating the Koru - the shape based of the unfurling of the silver fern. The Koru is found throughout Kiwi culture and represents new life, growth and new beginnings. It just seems right, and,coupled with the diamond, it looks pretty amazing too. See for yourself! :)
