Mr. & Mrs. Powell

Last new year, we had a lovely, if a little mad, couple staying with us. Alun is a Welsh guy who worked with Iain at the SRU and his wife, Tory, is a wine loving English lass. They enjoyed their time here in NZ so much that they decided to return for another Christmas & New Year. They have family in Wellington that they'd been staying with and now that were in the 'Naki, it also gave them a chance to see a different part of the country. Sadly, for the three days they were with us, it rained solidly so after we exhausted the local indoor activities (Govett-Brewster Art Gallery & Puke Ariki Museum), we were left with little choice but to either play board games and have a few beers or head to the pub. And that's exactly what we did.

Watching the madness unfold...
Tory's delight at her first ever Yahtzee!
All too quickly, there three days were gone and they were heading to the bright lights of Auckland but I have a sneaky feeling we're going to see them back on these shores again soon. Safe travels guys.
LM. :)
