Six60 are a new-ish Kiwi band that were starting to get a bit of airplay over here about 18 months ago. Iain got into them before me as the Blues boys were always playing their tunes in the gym. They play mix of rock music and dub and if you're really interested you can listen to one of their songs if you click here. Anyway, they've been doing a summer tour and we decided to go and see them on Thursday night at the local decent gig venue - Butler's Reef. It's a cracking spot. Just a wee hotel in a surf village about 15km out of town, but with a bit of ground out the back where they've erected a big marquee. Doesn't get much more Kiwi than that. The gig was pretty good. A wee bit too much dubstep for me (and the crazy dancing that goes with it) but their other tunes were chilled out enough to go with the summer vibe in Oakura. :)
