Before Ronnie and Sheena went home, we found yet more labour for them to further earn their keep: stacking our winter wood delivery! Iain is genuinely excited about the prospect of getting the fire on. On Wednesday morning, it was our usual trip to gymnastics. William is gaining in confidence and we really enjoying taking him.
On Wednesday afternoon, Heather and the girls arrived. It was so lovely having them here and just enjoying spending time catching up without the usual pressure of our normal visits back to Glasgow. They were here for four days during which time we sat in the garden drinking champagne, letting the kids run around, we went to Beanz for lunch and coffee, we ate great food and we just hung out. Before we knew it, it was Sunday and they were heading off again. It was so great to have them here and hope that its not too long until they make it over again.
I've moved the red table and chairs round to the front of the house to get the autumn sun. It's like we have our own bar!
While Heather was here, the weather was decent but on Sunday, suddenly, it felt like we were very much in the thick of autumn. It was great. We got the fire on, I made a roast and we sat reading our books all afternoon. The nights are fair drawing in.LM :)
