It's been on my mind for over a year now that I needed to get William set up with a proper paediatric doctor here in France so that he could continue to get his regular check ups, just like Plunket in NZ. Finally, I got around to it. I took a bit of a punt on a local doctor, even though her reviews weren't amazing but at least she could speak english. (The paed-doc that a lot of the girls use is apparently excellent, but her secretary is very rude to non-french speaking patients). So, Isabelle Sayous got the call up and I actually really liked her. Yes, she was straight and to the point and not too fluffy round the edges, but her english was excellent so there was no messing about trying to be clear on things.
William passed with flying colours. She said, and I quote, "He is perfect." She said it is very unusual for a child of his age to be so accepting of the check up steps but he was quite happy to do what was asked. He just loves going to the doctor! She did warn me, however, that he is very tall for his age so I need to keep reminding his teachers at school that he's actually a lot younger than he looks. Noted! I couldn't have been prouder!
