| Enjoying some welcome beverages in the City |
Welcome, welcome to my friend Julie Woodfield who has recently moved to NZ. Julie and I used to play volleyball together in the very successful (and crowd pleasing) Edinburgh Jets Women's II but Julie left the year before me to take up a Junior House Officer job at a hospital in Plymouth. She contacted me a few months ago to let me know that she would be making the Big Flitting too as she recently accepted a post at Starship Children's Hospital in Auckland. Turns out the girl's actually pretty bright - the job's in the neurology department!
Julie moved in with us for a couple of weeks until she got on her feet, and her and Iain spent many an afternoon together viewing flats until she found her own place. It was great having her around, comparing here and home and all our experiences so far - and she makes amazing cakes!!! She's just moved over the bridge so it will be great having an old mate from home around. And I'm also going to try and talk her into playing Beach Volley this summer!!!
LM :)
