Through the powers of Facebook, I realised I had missed my third cousin, Julie Doherty in Cairns by one day. Gutted. However, it turned out that she was on a honeymoon adventure and the next stop on her antipodean tour was Auckland! The last time I saw Julie was in 2003 when Caster Maclean and I turned up on her doorstep in Canada. It was brilliant to catch up with Julie (can't believe it's been seven years!) and also to meet her new hubby Alan. Sadly they were only here for three days but we managed to indulge them in the favourite Kiwi past times of rugby and beer during their time here. I'd also like to mention that I've never seen someone so excited by the America's Cup yacht as Alan was. He's a true boatie! Alan also said he's never drank as much beer on a Sunday afternoon in his life. Ha ha! Good times. All the best guys. :)

One of my bests mates is also called Julie and her husband is Paul. Must be so used to saying "Julie and Paul" that it slipped into the blog. Three times. Thanks for helping edit! :)
