Happy Easter!

Although I was brought up with a faith, we're not a particularly religious family. We celebrate the modern version of Christmas (i.e. presents and food) but I'm amazed at how much society has manage to turn Easter into a commercial opportunity. I talked about this briefly here when we experienced Easter weekend in the USA but I am surprised at the amount of commercialism the Brits have accepted and foster. Bunnies hiding eggs in your garden? Not sure the bunny will ever visit this house! Nevertheless, we were invited round to a mates house on Easter morning for an egg hunt for the kids and a coffee for the adults. Who could resist a social opportunity?! So, it was all very cute, and Emily did an outstanding job on the decorations, food, and hunt. William had a great time and it really felt like the start of spring as we hung out in the warm sun.
Hight on refined suger, it was remarkable that we managed to get all the kids to sit down together long enough to get a photo!
And back home for more chocolate after lunch. William honestly had no idea what was going on. Chaos.
LM. :)
