Running, Gardening and Dining Out

Volleyball is starting to get on my nerves. The season here is just so bloomin' long! On Monday night, I was meant to go to training but I just couldn't be bothered. I knew there wouldn't be many of our team there and I just couldn't see the point of giving up so much time for a knock-about. Iain nervously suggested that I go for a run instead and for the first time in two and a half years, I felt that I was actually ready to get my gear on and hit the pavements again. It was a slow 3km, but it was THREE KILOMETRES! My first run since, well, maybe even before I was pregnant, and I just did it! It was tough but it was 20mins and I was delighted with myself. Here I am, post run glow. Let's see how I get on...

On Wednesday, I talked Iain into a trip to Jardiland and we bought lots of new plants for the garden. I'm excited about how it's taking shape and how I'm hoping for it to finally have some colour in it. Its just so green. We bought tomatoes for the back wall and William helped me plant them. We've also put in a kiwi plant and a raspberry bush. I'm confident they'll get enough sun but just hope the soil is good enough.
On Friday night, Iain was away to Montpellier and William and I went for our first mum and son date at  Le Boulevard AKA The Dinner Shop. He was a good date and went absolutely nuts for the ice-cream!
The weather was absolutely rubbish on Sunday but my enthusiasm for running was still burning away  and I even managed to talk Iain into coming with me. He pushed the buggy which slowed him down to my pace. A perfect pairing. Two runs in a week? Whatever next?!
