Although we were having a great time on the road, we rather unexpectedly ended up needing to go back to Pau to meet up with our IVF specialist. I felt that I couldn't have continued to stay on holiday knowing that there might be chance we could go for another round so we packed up and headed back to Pau. Unfortunately, my progesterone levels were too high so Dr Dellis said that we couldn't press ahead. Some people might think this was a wasted trip but I was pleased we'd come back and checked in with him. It made me feel we were taking all our chances, and we were able to see how my crazy body was getting on. He still sounds positive though and we're meeting him again next month to try some other "tricks" as he puts it.
While we were back in Pau, it also gave William a chance to attend his final gymnastics lesson of the year. When you look back at the photos from this time last year, you can see how much he's grown physically, as well as in confidence.
Strangely, the link above comparing William's last day at gymnastics in 2018 also includes some stuff about him getting a new balance bike, and this post is going to include him getting his first proper bike! We decided that he'd more than grown out of his balance bike and rather than waiting until his birthday to get him a new one, we should just crack on and use the holidays as a great opportunity for him to spend time learning. We went to the Specaialized store in Idron and got him a brilliant entry level bike with one hand brake, a push back brake and no stabilisers. Sink or swim boy! Here he is on the first day, trying it out in the garden.
