New School, New School Year

I had been quite nervous about William moving school and suddenly the new school year, and the new place was upon us. I'd met up with the Directress the week before to confirm his place and suddenly it was Monday and he was starting at the Moyene Section. I didn't think I'd be allowed in, but clearly all the council run schools still have their own rules and here at Marca, they let you come right up to the classroom. He was excited to be starting, albeit a bit nervous and as we left the classroom, he did come running out to me, but we didn't get the level of tears we'd had last year at Joyeaux Bearn. His teacher seems really lovely, and has a tiny wee bit of english, so I think things are all going to be fine. Hopefully it wont be too long until we start having him in for the afternoon sessions too. I've told the school that once he's settled, I'll be keeping him in for the whole day, and Nathalie was happy with that.

As the week went on, I was already starting to feel that this had been a good move for both William and for me. There's a few english speaking mums and dads so I don't feel quite as isolated at the school gates, and it's just actually a lovely atmosphere in a really pretty part of the city. We're very lucky.
