Cinema Trip

Today I went on a school trip with William to the cinema to see La Chasse à l'Ours (We're Going On A Bear Hunt). It was pretty cool because, before we left on the trip, I got to sit in the class and watch what a typical start to the day is like. Mme Harnandez began singing and she was like the Pied Piper, bringing all the kids to the 'mat' as William calls it. Here, she did the roll call and they all, in turn, put their hands up and said either "oui" or "bonjour" then they did some chatting with some Q&A time.  Remarkably, William just seemed so settled in this routine and I was so proud of him just for being part of it all. We got a bus to the cinema in town, a sort of arthouse cinema rather than the main one in the square and we filed in with hundreds of other kids. It was organised chaos! William was absolutely mesmerised with the big screen and then when the movie started, he was astounded as this is the story they've been working on  in class. Just wonderful to be part of the day with him and watch his wee face light up.
Best.
