Remembrance Day

Yesterday we went to our first Remembrance Parade in France. As with all events like this, it was a very sombre affair, but perhaps more so this year with it being 100 years since the end of World War I. Seeing Vivienne, our next door neighbour playing in the band also made us feel like real locals.

There's probably an RSA somewhere in Pau that the oldies all headed to after the service for a few beers and/or pastis but we're not in the know like we were in Brown's Bay with Jabba so it was up the road for a cuppa tea.

Lest we forget.

Lorna.
