After weeks of making lists but procrastinating over them, this week turned into one of my most industrious in a long time. Spurred on by my phone struggling for memory, I managed to do heaps of (year old - aaaaargh!) blog posts in order to do a huge photo dump off my laptop, and subsequent photo dump off my phone. It's meant a huge leap forward as the family blog is now up to April of this year. Hurrah! In other admin news, I have been following up as much as possible on:
- My driving licence application
- CAF applications
- CPAM/GFP/Generali details
- Charity drop
- William's bank account
- William's UK passport application
- DJ Alexander
- Laundry
- Plants
In addition, we've also done three gym sessions and two cardio sessions this week so I'm feeling good. I was really in the fight on Thursday morning. It was dark, freezing and soaking but I still managed just over 6k of mostly running.
On Friday night, the council switched on the Christmas lights. I can't believe we're here already. I'm even writing Christmas cards. Where has this year gone? To celebrate, we cracked open that Christmas of Christmas drinks: Baileys. Or should I say Irish Fields. Iain was cracking up! ;-) "We're not that skint that you need to be buying Auchan own brand booze!"
There's been a few successes in the kitchen this week with a first ever go at a spinach and feta quiche on Monday, followed by a Thai green curry for dinner on Monday night as we stick to our Meat Free Mondays regime.
In news from William, he told us on Tuesday night that he really doesn't want to do judo anymore. To be honest, we're not surprised. The coach who takes the lessons isn't friendly and the whole thing just seems unnecessarily strict for such young kids. In short, he absolutely hates it and if he wants to stop, then we're backing him. We'll have a few weeks off Wednesday sport for now and look for something different in the new year.
Ooaft, almost December!
Lorna.
