After the world closing down due to Covid, it's been absolutely wonderful to welcome people back to our home after months and months of no visitors. When you live abroad, you become used to a steady stream of people coming to see you so the house has felt particularly quiet for the past 18months. Obviously Legs was here in September for a few days, but it was great to have Ronnie and Sheena in town for for the whole of the second week of the school holidays. We spent the week wandering the local streets, enjoying evening drinks in the local pubs, having lovely meals out (and in! ;-) ), and we even managed a visit to the WWII museum and a day trip through to Biarritz. It was so good to see them, and, as you can imagine, William was thoroughly spoiled for the entire time they were here!
Looking back at my planner, I see that had a massive list of jobs on my to-do list and that absolutely everything went to the wall as we enjoyed relaxing with, and hosting our house guests. I did keep my appointment for my bone density scan though and can confirm that I am, indeed, fairly dense. Good news.
Lorna :-)
