I had to be a bit of a Sneaky McSneak-Sneak to get Mum on the famous Queenstown Gondola. I told her we were just going for a wander round the town and what do you know, we ended up at the entrance to the lift. She didn't get a chance to say "No"; we were straight through the doors and into our capsule before you could even mutter the word, "vertigo". It was awesome: views rights across the town to Lake Wakatipu and Remarkables. See for yourself!...

It truly is a remarkable view in all senses - and pics can't really do it justice. It just looks like an amazing painting in the background - but it is, as they say, breathtaking.
