With the first phase of deconfinement quickly approaching, Iain's work is really ramping up. They're in zoom meeting after zoom meeting discussing all the steps that the club will need to take in order to get the boys back in and ready to train. It's ridiculously complicated. As such, Iain was locked downstairs for most of the morning, and then for a large part of the afternoon. In the window that he did have, we all went out for our scheduled run. How times have changed, eh? A 90min window? Yes; we're all going for a 5k run! We trotted round our usual route today and I was feeling quite tired. The heat really takes it out of me. In response to my ongoing RSI in my wrist, I decided to put my phone in William's rucksack and strap it to him. Although our overall time was tracked, the distance was slightly out and the splits were all over the show. Really need a phone pouch!
Lunch was a simple affair but made brilliant by the Genius cob loaf that I'd managed to get in Monoprix yesterday. Yaaas! The rest of the day passed in a bit of blur. We managed to get more of our hand washing done and hung out before the torrential rain and thunder started. William particularly enjoyed Iain's method of throwing it all in the bath and putting the jacuzzi jets on whilst having William trample up and down on the clothes! Can't bloody wait for the machine to get fixed.
William and I watched some of Britain's Got Talent in the early evening while Iain made dinner. A family favourite of prawn pasta with chilli, garlic and rocket. Yum. We put William to bed, and Iain and I decided to see what all the fuss was about, and we watched Parasite. It's mental.
Lorna :-)
