CoronaVirus Lockdown Day 5

Days are starting to merge into one now. As I sit down to write this tonight, I'm really racking my brains to remember what we've actually done today. It was quite a late rise, around 9am. Unusually, Iain indulged in a long lie after William and I went down for breakfast. It seems he is really, finally,  winding down during this lockdown. This morning I got on with my usual morning chores while Iain did another Prison Workout. Then I spent a bit of time doing my nails, and William wanted his painted too, so I obliged. We had lunch in the garden as it was another lovely day, and after lunch we all just pottered about doing some wee jobs that were needing done; fixing and hanging the clock in the kitchen that had fallen off the wall; trimming vines from around the laundry room window; putting the duck back up on the living room wall. I even made a (boil-in-the-bag) cake which we enjoyed for afternoon tea. I've been looking at some options for starting to teach William how to read and downloaded some introductory phonics apps for us to try out. Today we worked on "s", "a" and "t" and he seemed to really enjoy it. It's all just a big game for him. I'll keep plugging away with wee snippets and hopefully we'll get onto building three letter words soon.

I didn't even take any photos today. Perhaps the novelty of this is starting to wear off.

Talk to you tomorrow.
Lorna ;-)
