CoronaVirus Lockdown Day 6

Sundays are normally our family day. The only day when Iain isn't working and a chance for us to spend time together. Yesterday didn't quite have that special shine! The highlight of the day was writing an attestation for Iain to be able to venture out into the streets to take the recycling out. This is the world in which we find ourselves.
He said the streets were almost deserted; a man with a toddler, and a couple of people out walking and that was it. Just shows you what a proper lockdown can achieve. We got some other jobs done like laundry and the wee toilet cleaned, and Iain vacuumed the whole house. It's good to try and keep busy otherwise the day just drags in. We had a real mixer-matcher dinner of all the leftovers from the week, and then at 7pm we had a Zoom conference with the rest of the Cleland Clan where Donnie and Ronnie ran the Mother's Day Pub Quiz. We were online for nearly two hours and it was really good fun. My highlight of the quiz was trying to name Aladdin's mother. My answer: Madame Twinkie. ;-) Heather was howling!
While this was going on, some of the kids also had a group chat on FaceTime. It was one of the cutest things you'll ever hear. William was asking; "Do you have Coronavirus in Scotland?", "How is school?" and "How are your mum and dad?". Amazing. And amazing what things this lockdown is throwing up.
Right, catch you later.
Lorna. :-)
