It was absolutely outstanding. The guys running it were brilliant and we had a small group of six on our tour which meant we didn't feel lost in a big group. I don't really know what I expected, but, christ on a jetski, these things could move! We started off just doing some laps of the buoys in front of our beach and then Captain Nemo gave the signal and we were off! Thankfully the water was flat calm so I quickly gained some confidence but doing 35kmph on a jetski feel fast. So fast I was randomly cheering as we scooted along over the clear blue ocean.
We took about 45mins getting out to the reef but we stopped off on the way for a swim. Just being in the middle of the pacific, on a beautiful day was incredible. The snorkelling was brilliant. Lots of fish of different colours, and I even spotted a turtle! After the snorkelling we headed to Beachcomber Island for a couple of cold ciders and a spot of shade before the ride back to the main island. The run back was remarkably different. The wind had picked up so it was a good bit choppier and Iain even caught some air and we were thrown all over the place, carving through and over over the waves. On the way out, I was really going for the glamorous look; flash girl on the jetski, but by the time I was back to shore, I was covered in snot (terrified to take my hands off the handlebars) and had the biggest wedgie of my life. Classy indeed.
