Before we left Fiji, we were absolutely desperate to let William take part in the nightly fire lighting ritual at the hotel with the Fijian warrior. He was, by far, the fiercest [read: cutest] warrior that's ever lived.
Before we knew it, our eight days of tranquility had come to an end and it was time to pack up and get on our next flight, destination: LAX.
We flew to the States with FijiAirways and, as I half expected, half hoped, the flight wasn't full so we got a whole row of four seats to ourselves. William fell asleep just as we took off and slept for seven and half hours. Absolute gold!
We arrived in LAX at lunchtime on Good Friday and big Brian O'Neill was there at the airport to pick us up. (Not by chance, we had planned it). It was time to spend Easter with Americans, in their natural habitat...
