CoronaVirus Lockdown Day 20 - Sun 5 April

Hi! We had a bit of a faffy morning yesterday. Nice morning but feel like we're in a bit of a slow rut and could be using time more productively than playing Candy Crush and on socials. Its a good effort to be out of bed before 9am, and subsequently in the shower before 10.30am. It's something I'm going to really try and work on next week as a productive morning makes me feel like I've had a productive day

Iain got William organised with his Cosmic Kids yoga adventure this morning and they chose the story of Frozen. It seemed to go on for ages, but that did mean lots of movement and, of course, William loved it. Due to continued good weather, we had lunch outside then we continued the afternoon in the courtyard with me building yet another train layout and us playing for a good hour. Iain appeared a wee while later and we had some afternoon tea and just blethered. Then, a new face arrived in the courtyard. He came over to chat (whilst maintaining social distancing, bien sûr!) and it turns out he owns the apartment to the right of our house, and he's going to be moving back in. His name is Mathieu and he's got pretty decent english too which will be good to help us keep track of the local gossip ;-)

Iain made dinner whilst I got myself prepared for the weekly pub quiz. I felt it was only right that I don a bow tie for my role as (joint) quizmaster for the evening. I managed to find one of Iain's and I was all set. I'd prepped well and the format and questions seemed to be well received. I think, that in particular, people enjoyed the picture round. There were also a good few laughs at Ronnie's graduation photo, and my question about Pope John Paul II's visit to Scotland in 1982.

Normally I use photos as a quick memory jogger for my daily rambling but oddly, I didn't take a single shot yesterday. It wasn't that we were too busy; au contraire, it actually felt like we were just bumbling through the day, desperate to get to the end. Deffo going to delete Candy Crush, and start planning / making lists for my week again. Need to get more productive.

Cheers,
Lorna.
