After a later-than-normal night last night, and a few drams in front of the fire, I really wasn't looking forward to today's activity. This was especially due to it being a run day, and that it required a minimum distance of 4km. I made sure that I did loads of pre-hab before heading out, and before I knew it, I'd run off my niggly sore knee, and we were already 2km in. In trying to meet my target distance, we were having to keep adding bits as we went, and ended up doing quite an incline in the 3rd km. It was very tough, but my back held up today and my final distance came in at just over 4.2km. It wasn't a huge increase from Friday, but it was an increase, and, even more pleasingly, my back held up throughout. Dare I say it, but are these runs starting to get easier?!
Lunch was a bit of a mixer-matcher affair and this afternoon, Iain and William have relaxed up the stairs watching a movie and some CBeebies, whilst I've been down in the office doing some much needed catch-up blog posts. Good to get back on top of the game, especially as I really need to write up lots of foodie things too. Iain has a lot of uni work to be getting on with next week, so I'm hoping to use the time that he's locked away to do some writing.
Iain made dinner. Beef fajitas. I love these, and especially enjoy them as a change from chicken. Dinner was served just before we Zoomed in for the weekly quiz night with the Clelands. This weeks hosts were a real combination of sorts between the Woodsie and MacBride adults and kids. And once again, we came bloomin' last. What the hell?! We got William to bed toute suite and settled down to watch the final episode of Race Across The World. It is, by far, my favourite show on tv. Oh, how I'd love to do it!
