CoronaVirus Lockdown Day 31 - Thur 16 April

Our morning was the usual round of tidying up and chores. Iain had a zoom workout with the boys online and this time, it wasn't video bombed by William. I did however, sneak some Hearts On Fire into his playlist mid-circuits. Always a motivational winner. ;-)
Weather was quite overcast and a bit cooler than we've been used to so we spent the rest of the morning indoors pottering around and not really doing much. I did, however, get the oven cleaned. Lunch was leftovers from last night's chicken pie and stripping the fridge bare. Times are so desperate here that we had to break out of the UHT milk for our tea. Eurgh.
In the afternoon, William and I had a big cars and track build in his room, then went outside to play football with the big beach ball. Iain had another french lesson, and a big catch up with Fish.

Finally, at about 5pm, I took a big deep breath and headed out for the first time in two weeks. Destination: Auchan for the Big Shop. Thankfully, like last time at Auchan, no queues, but it was definitely busier than the last time (but not as busy as Leclerc). I got most things I was after but definitely less selection that they had before. Hopefully, this will see us through a couple of weeks at least and before we know it, we'll be into May and counting down to Macron's release date of the 11th.

Anyway, by the time I got home at about 7.30pm, Iain had fed William, and he was all cozied up on the couch in his jammies and dressing gown waiting on a snuggle from me before bed. The cutest thing in the world. Iain put him to bed and we cleaned and put away the massive shop, then Iain made pizza for dinner while I had a celebratory gin and tonic. Well done me.

Lorna.
