CoronaVirus Lockdown Day 36 - Tue 21 April

Iain was up before 9am today as he had a Zoom circuits session with the boys at 9.30. It's actually quite good for William and I now that he's doing these as we tend to end up getting up earlier too and our mornings become a bit more active. William and I had breakfast and got our sports clothes and full waterproofs on and headed out for a walk (William on his bike) at about 10.15am. It was absolutely hosing down and by the time we'd done various loops around the centre ville covering 4km and got back to the house, we were soaked right through. It was an utter joy to get in and have a hot shower! The rain reeminded me of days in Glasgow, walking home from Garrowhill train station after uni. But, still, good to get out.
As Iain had eaten breakfast after his Zoom session, he didn't need lunch so our food schedule was all over the place. It was a staggered lunch for us all, and I managed to sneak in a wee PopMaster after I'd eaten. Disappointed with my 3 in 10 score today. With so little else to fill my days, PopMaster has become a daily event here now.
Iain had a french lesson this afternoon so he had homework to get on with then his conference call. William and I did a load of colouring in, and then headed upstairs for another big afternoon snuggle and story in bed. I'm really loving this with him.

Later afternoon was suddenly upon us so we had our usual cups of tea and snacks, and for the second day in a row, I lit the fire! Crazy to think we were out in singlets last week and having dinner in the courtyard. An easy but often overlooked dinner tonight of spaghetti bolognese. I didn't know why we don't eat this more often as William absolutely demolished it. He was in bed by 7.30 tonight. These big cycles round the town are doing him the world of good.
