William might have fallen asleep in our bed at 11pm last night, and we might've gotten him into his own bed after that, but he didn't stay there. Arrrgh! We have surmised that this poor sleeping has been, in the main, due to the significant drop in daily physical exercise. To mix things up today, we decided, rather than devising an assault course, we would get a bit of Joe Wicks on the go. The old Body Coach has really tried to get the world moving during the respective lockdowns by doing live workouts every morning entitled #PEwithJoe. Some of the PE world and beyond think he's a bit of a chancer but I think that if he's getting people active and making positive changes to their lifestyle, then what's the problem? So, we stuck on one of his workouts and gave it a go. To be fair, it's probably aimed at kids a bit older than William but he is used to seeing me do the adult versions already so he was quite into it. It's all about moving, eh?
I also decided that I'd had enough sitting around and eased myself back into the world of being physically active with a gentle introductory yoga session. Good for the body and the mind during these times. Iain continues his daily hard out work outs and even set a TRX system up today. We've told William that he's learning to fly.
In order to offset all this healthy physical activity, William and I baked a banana loaf. I think its the first time I've made one with the Doves Farm GF bread, maybe not (?), but it's definitely one of the best ones I've ever made in France. It really held together well and didn't crumble at all when slicing it up. Maybe it was also the different oven? Anyway, it was brilliant. These afternoon teas are just too good.
We also caught up with the Oman-Browns on FaceTime this afternoon. As ever, it was great to see their faces. Katie has put me on to a kids yoga programme on youtube called Cosmic Kids so we will give that a go tomorrow.
Best.
Lorna :)
