CoronaVirus Lockdown Day 23 - Wed 8 April

Woke at 8.45am and due to no battery left on my phone I had no reason to lie in. Perhaps this is a good plan for the future?! Got up and Iain and William were already downstairs eating breakfast.

With my early rise, came an early shower. I got rooms tidied, beds made, laundry down and William and I were into Cosmic Kids by about 11.15! It was a glorious day today and Iain went for a run. After William and I did our Cosmic Kids, I started pottering about with all our house plants. I began with taking them all outside to decide which ones needed repotting and which ones I should take cuttings from to then try to propagate. It was serious stuff!

While William and I were doing this, Iain made lunch - tuna salad and my homemade bread, toasted. After lunch, there was more houseplant pottering in the courtyard. It was great just being outside and enjoying the beautiful weather. Once I'd made all my changes, I cleaned all the upstairs windows, and window sills and reorganised the kitchen window area. Changing things up is good for the soul I reckon. It's looking good. And so is the office, especially with this spring sunshine coming in the windows in the late afternoon.
Had a bit of a snuggle with William outside in the afternoon. He'd been pottering about too and was just wanting some quiet time with me. It was great. After this he played cars up in his room with Iain.

I made dinner today. Seafood risotto with extra scallops. I thought it was okay, but not as flavoursome as I've made before. Iain thought it was great though.

At night, we were both quite industrious. Iain's had a bit of a serve from his Uni supervisor so is knuckling down and trying to do much more reading. This has given me some more time to catch up on my blogs. Iain's still pestering me to write a food one. I've started on some things but not quite found my groove with it yet. Need to concentrate my efforts.

Lorna. :)
