CoronaVirus Lockdown Day 27 - Sun 12 April

I heard William get out of bed and stop in his tracks when he walked out into the hall. There was a Kinder schoko-bon lying on the floor outside his room. He came running into our room with it in his hand, excitedly asking, "Is it Easter?"

Before we knew it, we were all up and searching the house for more chocolate. William was very happy about all his finds and managed to have a chocolate bunny and two kinder mini eggs before his breakfast.

Due to our two movies/three bottles of wine/late to bed last night, the rest of the day has been pretty slow. This has also coincided with more rain today and, of course, hunners and hunners of chocolate. In my defence, I was showered and into proper clothes today by 11am, and William and I (mostly William) prepped the pork before lunch and got it in the oven to slow cook all day. Winning.

We were all a bit bored/boring today and never really got up to too much which kinda left William climbing the walls. There's really only so much Lego anyone can put with. We finally gave in and William got to watch The Smurfs movie, then play on Iain's old iPad. Lockdown fatigue is genuinely setting in. But at least there's chocolate.

And amazing pulled pork and homemade apple 'slaw on Genius rolls that Iain found in Monoprix!

We ate dinner together just in time for the start of the weekly Cleland pub quiz. Tonight's hosts were Sheena and Heather, and despite Iain and I actually trying hard, we came last. God sake.

In the middle of all this, we were getting regular up dates from Gregor who was at the hospital with Emma, who was in labour. At 10.45 Gregor called the groupchat and we were all held our collective breaths. It's a boy! Ross Iain David Cleland. Mum and baby doing brilliantly and dad clearly over the moon. Iain was incredibly emotional at hearing the name choice. A proud moment. We spent the rest of the evening wetting the baby's head and speaking to everyone on FaceTime about how happy we all were. A brilliant piece of news in the middle of the madness.

Best.
Lorna :)
